What is chili crisp?
Chili crisp is a condiment of fried chilis, aromatics, and oil. Don Chilio chili crisp is a Mexican take — made with 100% olive oil and Mexican peppers, with that signature crunch.
What is salsa macha?
Salsa macha is a traditional Mexican chili oil from Veracruz — dried chilis, nuts, and seeds slow-infused in oil. Silkier than chili crisp, with smoky depth.
What's the difference between chili crisp and salsa macha?
Chili crisp uses fresh peppers crisped in oil with seeds and garlic — it's crunchy and bright. Salsa macha uses dried chiles and nuts, giving it a deeper, smokier, nuttier flavor. Both are oil-based Mexican condiments. We make both — try them side by side.
How hot is it?
Our line spans heat level 1 (Jalapeño) through heat level 5 (Habanero). Check the heat indicator on each product page, or take our heat quiz to find your match.
Is it vegan?
Yes! Don Chilio chili crisps and salsa machas are 100% vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and made with no artificial preservatives. Just real ingredients: peppers, olive oil, garlic, seeds, and sea salt.

Where is Don Chilio made?
Don Chilio was founded in Mexico City on March 9, 2017 by brothers Mauricio and Diego De La Torre. Authenticity isn't a marketing claim for us — it's where we're from.

How long does shipping take?
Most US orders ship in 1–2 business days and arrive within 3–7 business days. You'll get a tracking email as soon as the label is created.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we ship within the US. We're adding international stockists — more locations coming soon.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free US shipping on orders over $19. Free shipping is always on for subscribers.
What's the shelf life?
Best within 12 months unopened. Once opened, refrigerate and use within 3 months for peak flavor.
What's your return policy?
100% satisfaction guarantee: if you don't love it — or it arrives damaged — we'll replace it at no extra charge. Just reach out and we'll make it right.
